Our primary business is investment in, and/or operation of, rental apartment communities. We manage apartment properties for entities in which we are an equity partner and frequently the sponsor, as well as for third party owners.
Our apartment group has extensive experience in virtually all aspects of the rental apartment business (other than development, in which our experience is somewhat limited):

We also have a commercial division that manages, leases, and maintains office and retail properties, primarily for third party owners. A comparatively small portion of our business is involved in land investment and development.
We, or partnerships we have sponsored, or our operating subsidiary currently own and/or operate 12 income-producing properties, all in North and South Carolina.
During the 39 year history of the firm, we have operated residential and commercial properties in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia.
Our leasing and management subsidiary is Guardian Management, Inc., which is 100% owned by First LandMark USA, Inc. Also, wholly-owned subsidiary, SYNCO, Inc. acts as general partner in a number of older property partnerships.
